The project includes: Shopping center with two levels, four (4) basements and four towers from floors 3 to 10.

To supply the thermal load required for the business center and towers 1 and 2 from levels 3 to 10, three (3) 538 tr magnetic-type water-condensing water chiller units were installed.

The shopping center has 33.475 square meters, tower 1: 2.013 square meters and the tower: 1.850 square meters. The system used in the cold plant is of the variable primary pumping type.

For towers 1 and 2, a variable speed secondary pumping system is used. For the business center and levels 1 and 2, variable speed drive units will be used for the offices. For the extraction of food odors from level 2 of the business center, four (4) smoke extraction and odor eliminator systems will be implemented, with a capacity of 22.000 cfm each.

For towers 3 and 4, from floors 3 to 10, two (2) cooling towers of 350 tr each will be used, with variable speed in the pumps and towers. For each zone, the end user will place their respective package type unit with water condensation.

Puerta de Oro Events and Convention Center

Supply and installation of 3 centrifugal chillers of 55o tr each and two screw chillers of 220 tr and one of 110 tr to condition the fairgrounds and support areas, the system consists of a variable primary and secondary system, the handling units were located on a technical slab with noise eliminators in the supply and return ducts, the supply ducts are circular and through imported nozzles they supply air from the ceiling to the lower part of the 16-meter-high exhibition center, the units are condensed by water for which 8 cooling towers were used. In total the system consists of 6 handlers.

La Alpujarra Thermal District

This institutional type project has an installed capacity of 3.600 TR-hour, providing cooling to different public buildings in the city of Medellín: Antioquia Governorate, Medellín Municipality Building and Dian Building, Antioquia section.

Using a gas-based water cooling system, it is distributed through underground pipes, replacing the traditional air conditioning system, in the public buildings of the La Alpujarra complex.
